GAMSAT: Point Change In UL’s Degree Programmes
The University of Limerick has indicated an immense appraisal in the entry level points for multiple degree programmes. The increased CAO points reflect a positive growth in the performance of the students. The CAO round proves the rising interest of the students in opting for the multiple degree programmes within humanities, science, business and engineering sector. Similar increase of points has been noticed in the number of CAO application form submitted for GAMSAT. Recent figures show a remarkable increase in the number of CAO application forms for this year. The figures in 2009 which experienced 47% interest rate of the students have now risen to 57%.
Professor Paul McCutcheon, the Vice President Academic and Registrar of UL commented on the growing interest and positivity of students’ nature. He strongly welcomed the positive trait noticed in the performance of the students from all fields of study. Increase in entry level points has reflected high growth in the preferences opted by the students. Points for the varied degree programmes increased through a considerable difference. Speaking specifically, the GAMSAT UK score has shown a considerable change. The aspirants require an increased score of 57 in order to make it through the test. Aspirants appearing for the medical schools this year require one point increased score on the previous point in 2009. In fact, UL received 596 applications for the medical school degree programmes. The earlier figures have been 482. Similar changes have been noticed in point range for other degree programmes depending on the student’s demands.
The figures presented by the University of Limerick reflect growing interest of the students in opting for the degree programmes. Strong interest of the students in sitting GAMSAT test and other degree programmes in years to come is likely to place the test committee on an altogether distinct platter of success. Not just this, brilliancy is surely going to increase in the face of the test crackers turning their academic future bright.
